Characters of the Island of Eo

King Argent
Cliches:
Outlaw (4)
King (3)
Eoan Wizard (4)
Hook:
Argent depends on the enchanted sapphire set into his silver crown for his magical powers; he cannot use his Eoan Wizard cliche at all without it. The crown gives any other magic-using character an extra die; however, the crown does not work if removed from Eo to the mundane world.

The Black Knight
Description:
The Black Knight is a tall, slender man, never seen without his full-body suit of plate armor. The armor is made of a strange black metal; it isn't painted, because even when it is dented the color never changes. He rides a Warhorse (4) wearing the same sort of armor, which covers the beast from head to hoof to tail.
Cliches:
Armored Apparition (4)
Hook:
There's nobody in that armor. The Black Knight is some sort of apparition, and his armor is empty; the same is true of his steed. As a consequence of his magical nature he has one weakness: water. Any attack using a small amount (less than a gallon) of water gains an automatic one-die bonus, while using a gallon or more against him successfully will reduce him to zero dice if the attack succeeds (regardless of his current value). His steed has the same weakness. If either or both are knocked out by a water-based attack (or simply by falling or being pushed into it), they simply fall apart.

When he charges with his lance, treat the Knight and his steed together as a Grunt Squad (6).

Tale:
No one knows the origin of the Black Knight. Some say he is a vengeful ghost, others that he was constructed by some ancient wizard. He never speaks, and always attacks the largest or most powerful opponent in any group; if reduced to one die, he always salutes and retreats. Besides his lance, the Black Knight carries a flanged (not spiked) mace.
