Gems and Jewels of Glain

The various colors of sapphire (corundum) each have distinct names. Ruby is, of course, red corundum, and the term Sapphire specifically identifies the blue variety. Jacinth is orange, Pellucidine is clear and colorless, Royalite is purple, Saffronite is yellow or golden, and Verdanite is green. Due to the hardness and durability of corundum, all these stones are particularly popular in the creation of magic items (along with diamond, of course). Most corundum stones are mined by dwarves in Olan.
